Stage 3 kidney failure is not the most severe kidney condition, but in this stage, the residual kidney function may be not effective enough to maintain a normal life. It is very likely for people with stage 3 kidney failure to experience some symptoms.

Symptoms in stage 3 kidney failure may include:

1. Elevation of blood pressure

High blood pressure is a common illness. It not only occurs as a symptom of stage 3 kidney failure, but also a cause of chronic kidney problem in some cases. For this reason, it is necessary for people with both stage 3 kidney failure and high blood pressure to found out the real relationship between their kidney problem and blood pressure.

2. Foams in urine

When chronic kidney failure develops to stage 3, foams may occur in urine. Foamy urine is a clinical manifestation of proteinuria which refers to the presence of excess protein in urine. Foamy urine is the dominant symptom of kidney disease, but it does not mean all the people with foams in urine are suffering from kidney problem, as many other illness like urinary tract infection also can cause protein in urine. Besides, with symptom of foamy urine, stage 3 kidney failure patients may need to limit protein intake.

3. Blood in urine

People may also find blood in urine with stage 3 kidney failure. Blood urine is diagnosed when there are excessive red blood cells in urine and in such a case, urine may appear as tea-colored, dark orange, red and water where meat is washed.

4. Fatigue

Persistent fatigue can be one of the most debilitating symptoms of chronic kidney failure. It often goes unreported and untreated in stage 3 kidney failure .

5. Frequent urination at night

Not everyone with stage 3 kidney failure will certain experience frequent urination at night, but for these with kidney disease caused by Hypertension are more likely to suffer from this symptom.

Kidney has a strong compensatory ability, so when only a small amount of kidney tissues are affected, no obvious symptom occurs. The above are the possible discomforts for patients with stage 3 kidney failure, and some of them may have no or only have some of these symptoms. Also, it is possible that some of them experience some other signs like swelling and poor appetite aside from the above discomforts.
