In normal condition, creatinine level in blood is kept in the range 0.5-1.3. When much more creatinine is produced at one time, kidneys will help to excess creatinine through urine. Therefore, kidney plays a crucial role in keeping serum creatinine in normal range. Also, this is the reason why people with kidney disease are always told to have elevated creatinine level in blood.
