Tip 1. Eating less salt.

The main ingredients of salt is sodium, which is supposed to be able to regulate the blood pressure and fluid level in the body. But if you eat overmuch salt, the excessive sodium will lead to high blood pressure and water-sodium retention, which will further damage kidneys.

So you are suggested to use spices, herbs, lemon juice in stead of salt.

Tip 2. Eating right amount and types of protein.

Protein is the necessary substance of our body. But for people with kidney disease, the amount and type of protein they eat plays a vital role in your health. Less protein and high-quality protein foods are your best choice. This kind of eating style can help reduce the burden of kidneys and slow down the progression of the disease. When you choose foods, you should first consider chicken, fish, egg, lean meat and diary as the protein supplement.

Tip 3. Eating less phosphorus.

People with chronic kidney disease often show electrolyte disorder, featuring as high phosphorus and low calcium. High phosphorus can not only cause skin problems, but also cause bone disease. Therefore, you are suggested to limit the phosphorus intake. Most fresh fruits and vegetables contains lower phosphorus.

Tip 4. Eating less potassium.

High potassium level in blood is regarded as the silent killer of chronic kidney disease. It will increase the risk of heart failure, which may cause sudden death. Most fruits contains potassium. So when you choose fruits, you should be careful. Try to avoid those that contains high level of potassium.
