Hi, doctor, I am in stage 4 Chronic Kidney Failure, had a kidney transplant 6 years ago. I would like to know how long is it before I am in End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD). I cannot seem to get information from my doctor. Your any medical advises are appreciated.
Kidney transplant is regarded as the only choice for kidney disease in many countries, however, it is not the fact. It is a fact that a successful kidney transplant can really help kidney disease patients prolong the life to a large extent, but some patients have to face the relapses of conditions. Especially those auto-immune diseases like IgA Nephropathy, Lupus Nephritis, FSGS, etc have a relatively higher relapse rate, it can even reach up to 50%.
In general, if high creatinine level and high blood pressure appear at the same time after kidney transplant, it indicates the new kidney damage. If a proper treatment still can not be used, patients have to go and receive a second kidney transplant.
As to your question, there is no an exact answer to how long is it before you are in ESRD due to the lack of more information about your condition. Also it varies from case to case. But a proper treatment is able to help prevent stage 4 kidney failure developing ESRD again and avoid the second kidney transplant. There are many such successful cases in the click. Take the safety and efficiency into account, Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy and Immunotherapy will be recommended here. Feel free to let us know, if you have any follow-up questions.
