2013-09-28 15:55

Few people are aware of the fact that kidney disease can be the second killer after the cancer. They may not appear any symptoms for a long time. It is hard to recognize the symptoms of kidney disease and also it is important to confirm them early.

Some causes of kidney disease are treatable and the kidney function may return to normal. Unfortunately, kidney disease may be progressive in other situation and may be irreversible. Symptoms of kidney disease are due to the build-up of waste products in the body that may cause weakness, shortness of breath, lethargy, and confusion. Inability to remove potassium from the bloodstream may result in abnormal heart rhythms and sudden death. At the very beginning, there may be no symptoms of kidney failure. Here I will make a list of the symptoms of kidney disease as follows:

1. Blood in the urine: this is a symptom of kidney disease which is a definite cause for concern. There maybe lots of other reasons, but it is reasonable for you to go for a doctor in case you notice it.

2. Swelling: we know that the basic function of kidney is to remove the waste and extra fluid from the body. We can imagine that if there is something wrong with the kidney, then the kidney can not operate its function properly so that the kidney will not remove these waste from the body, these waste will build up in your body causing swelling in your hands, feet, ankles or your face.

3. Feeling chilly: if you have kidney problem, you may feel cold all the time even you are in the warm surrounding due to anaemia.

c the accumulated waste of products in your blood in the kidney disease can cause nausea and vomiting.

5. Shortness of breath: Kidney disease causes fluid to build up in the lungs. And also, anaemia, a common side-effect of kidney disease, starves your body of oxygen. You may have trouble catching your breath due to these factors.

It is important for us to identify kidney symptoms as early as possible because in most cases the damage in the kidneys can’t disappear, it can just alleviate your disease. See your doctor once you observe one or more of the above symptoms. If caught early, kidney disease can be treated very effectively. Good luck to everybody.
