Why Kidney Disease Is Not Easy To Cure- Blood Stasis Theory

2013-05-10 10:57

We know that chronic kidney disease is not easy to be cured and it usually has high recurrent rate. Symptoms such as swelling, proteinuria, hematuria, high blood pressure often relapse after the drugs are stopped or when the dosage is reduced or under the inducement of cold or infections. Each relapse will make the illness conditions even worse and make the disease more difficult to treat.

Bases on a new study in treating kidney disease that is called theory of blood stasis, the reason why kidney disease is not easy to be cured is that the blood in the patient’s body is polluted by toxins and wastes. The polluted blood will damage the tissues and organs wherever it flows. Only when effective treatment can help clean and purify the blood and at the same time repair damaged renal tissues can kidney disease be cured from the root.

How to achieve the goals? We know that dialysis is a common adopted blood purification treatment for sustaining life for renal failure patients. But dialysis is not enough, because it can only remove small molecular substances such as creatinine, blood urea nitrogen and uric acid. Actually there are many other larger wastes and toxins in the patient’s body which can not be removed by dialysis. What is more, dialysis can not prevent further deterioration of illness conditions, that is why many patients still have high creatinine levels after dialysis.

There are more advanced blood purification technologies such as hemofiltration, hemoperfusion, plasma exchange, immune adsorption, etc. Different blood purification technologies will be used according to the patient’s specific illness conditions.

This is just the first step of the blood stasis theory. The second step is to supply some elements and prescribe some medications according to the patient’s blood composition conditions and the patient’s clotting mechanism and hematopoietic functions so as to create a favorable internal environment for the healthy growth and development of blood cells.

The third step is actually to maintain the normal functions of the body’s hematopoietic system so as to help repair damaged renal tissues and recover normal renal functions. The third step can also prevent further renal damages so as to prevent further relapse.
