When kidney is damaged, it can not work well as usual. For patients with kidney failure, they will experience various of symptoms.

What are the symptoms of kidney failure?

Fatigue : patients with kidney failure will feel weak and tired. They have no strength to work. This is because impaired kidney can not produce much EPO, which leads to the decrease of red blood cells that can offer enough oxygen and make people energetic.

Edema or swelling : edema is a common symptom of kidney failure. Kidney has the ability to filter excess water and keep the balance of electrolyte. When kidney is damaged, excessive water and sodium cannot discharge out the blood and accumulate in the body, leading to edema.

Change of urinate: for patients with kidney failure, they may find that they go to urinate frequently, especially in the evening. Or if they look at their urine, they can find there are lots of bubbles in the urine which can not disappear in a long time. In the late stage of kidney failure, people will have less urine or no urine.

Hematuria or blood urine : the color of urine is tea color, brown or red color. This indicates that there are red blood cells in the urine.

Poor appetite : patients feel that they eat less than usual. Some people say they have a metallic taste in their mouth or breath. If the situation is severe, they may feel nauseated and vomitive.

Poor sleep : patients cannot sleep very well. Go to urinate frequently affect their sleep.

Itchy skin : due to the the damage of kidney function, electrolyte metabolize is disorder, leading to much phosphorus in the blood. Therefore, people feel itching.

High blood pressure : it is a common symptom for people with kidney failure. Kidney failure can cause high blood pressure. In turn, high blood pressure can cause kidney failure.

In addition, people may feel other discomfort, such as poor concentration, nerve problem, back pain, etc. When people suffer from these symptoms, they have to go to hospital to receive treatment.
