Tai chi is a gentle exercise which is suitable for all ages and especially those that are weak and have chronic diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes and kidney failure.

After a period of practicing of tai chi, patients can sense the following benefits.

Building up physical strength

Kidney failure patients should have low-protein diets to reduce burdens to the kidneys. Together with mental stress and loss of appetite, they often have lower immunity and are susceptible to cold, gastrointestinal tract infections which will in turn worsen kidney functions.
