At present, there are mainly four categories of immunosuppressants: Cyclosporine, Azathioprines, Monoclonal antibodies and corticosteroids.

Low immunity: Because immunosuppressants play their work through weakening patients’ immunity system, the users usually have low immunity that makes them more susceptible to infections such as urinary tract infections, virus and bacterial infections.

Osteoporosis: It occurs when the density of bones is decreased and can increase the risk for fractures. If left untreated, patients may have a fall easily.

There are many other side effects including unusual tiredness, weakness, fever, chill and frequent need of urination.
